Powered by wish families, volunteers, companies, donors and friends, Walk for Wishes is a fundraiser that celebrates the thousands of wishes that have already been granted, while raising awareness and funds for future wishes.
Walk for Wishes is a unique event for all ages and abilities including fun challenges and community engagement! We invite participants from all over Illinois to lace up their shoes and WALK in their local neighborhood or participating in a local pop-up celebration so local children can WISH. Participants raise funds and show their support by sharing photos and videos!

Why Wishes Matter
Every hour of every day three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Wishes provide what medicine cannot – extraordinary and memorable experiences that make an illness the least of a child's worries, while a sense of normalcy comes into focus.
What Can You Do?
- Register. Sign up today and invite friends, family and colleagues to join your team at any one of the locations.
- Fundraise. Tell people why you are supporting Make-A-Wish and ask for their support. Make it personal to make it powerful.
